About Siavash Najafpour
Siavash Najafpour is an Iranian writer, filmmaker, and psychotherapist. He studied filmmaking through workshops led by Abbas Kiarostami, Asghar Farhadi, and Mahmoud Kalari, and has directed several short films, including Mr. X, which was screened at the Tehran International Short Film Festival in 2019. His screenplay Mirror and Time was also published by Kherad Manoushan Publishing in 2024.
Najafpour writes fiction, screenplays, and personal essays. Situated at the intersection of individual experience and the broader social world, his work examines themes such as memory, identity, death, and violence. The Butcher's Nightmares is his latest work of fiction—a dystopian literary-horror narrative in which the human body is turned into a commodity in pursuit of the promise of immortality.
