Senliz Publication is an independent UK-based publication for books that resist censorship, ideological gatekeeping and literary conformity.
Why Senliz Exists
Senliz was created to prevent censorship from simply continuing across borders in different forms. For too many writers, leaving one system of restriction only means entering another: ideological preferences presented as editorial standards, personal taste treated as literary authority, and publishing models that place impossible financial pressure on authors.
We work across English and Persian / Farsi literature, selected book projects, digital editions, audiobooks and editorial works. We are not a marketing agency and not a self-publishing shopfront. Senliz is a modern book publication with an editorial position, a small team and a slow catalogue.
We exist for writers whose work is necessary, unconventional or difficult to categorise — particularly those who are too often overlooked because they are unknown, politically inconvenient or unwilling to reshape their voices for approval.
We publish, support and distribute a limited number of titles each year. We reply to every serious submission, and we are honest about which route a project actually needs.

I founded Senliz because I know what it means for a book to be judged before it is read.
As an Iranian writer, I experienced censorship inside my own country. Publishing abroad did not always end that experience. The restrictions simply changed form: ideological preferences presented as editorial standards, personal taste treated as literary authority, and publishing models that placed impossible financial pressure on writers.
Senliz grew from the belief that crossing a border should not mean entering another system of permission.
We created an independent publication for writers whose work is necessary, unconventional or difficult to categorise — particularly those who are too often overlooked because they are unknown, politically inconvenient or unwilling to reshape their voices for approval.
Senliz does not promise that every manuscript will be published. It promises something more fundamental: every work will be considered for what it is, not for how obediently it fits an ideology.
